The Chapman Cultural Center was envisioned by the Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg. This 500-seat multi-purpose theatre with balcony is situated in the heart of the complex and is of classical horseshoe-shaped design that provides visual and acoustical intimacy for each seat in the house. It has an orchestra shell, orchestra pit and tracked curtains along the perimeter of the house wall. The shell and acoustic curtains allow for a varied music program from chamber ensembles to orchestra as well as the full range of other events the Center offers.
