Temple University Performing Arts Center

Temple U Exterior

The Details

The historic University landmark and former Baptist Church was adapted for arts performance and convocations.

The exterior was preserved intact, while the interior was transformed into a 1,200-seat hall that can be used for concerts, theatre and other live performance events. Quality room acoustics are achieved by the overhead reflector that allows performers to hear themselves and each other well, while assisting in distributing critical overhead sound to all seating areas. The elaborate sound system required by the non-traditional seating pattern and deep balcony overhangs was designed by Kasefang and Associates.
